Strengthening Your Building Level Suicide Plan





Where:        Elks Club, 4747 E Elk Park Dr, Columbia, MO

Date:          October 25, 2017
Time:          9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost:          $499 per Team (3-5 members)


(Registration will be limited to the first 25 teams.)
(Members could include but not limited to:  Superintendent, Principal, Asst. Principal, Counselor, Outreach personnel, School Nurse, School Resource Officer, School Social Worker, School Psychologist, etc.)

Agenda for the Day (Tentative):
9:00 am - 10:00 am          Myths and facts about suicide
10:00 am - 11:30 am         Best practices in suicide prevention and response
11:30 am - 12:15 pm          Local resource discovery: Working lunch
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm          Strengthening your building-level suicide plan
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm            Developing a network of support with other districts


  • Each team will leave with a thumb drive of resources, a network of contacts for additional support, and a draft of your building-level action plan.
  • Ongoing support (phone calls, video conferencing, face to face consultation, etc.) will take place following the workshop.
