MASSP provides many professional development opportunities for secondary administrators. Professional development offerings are based on Educational Leadership Policy Standards: ISLLC 2008 (Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium) and may be counted toward administrator's re-certification.

MASSP is a professional organization committed to the on-going improvement of secondary education, the professional development of middle level and high school principals and assistant principals, and programs for the youth of Missouri.

ASPIRING PRINCIPALS WORKSHOPS
MASSP and the district associations will host a series of one day regional Aspiring Principals' Workshops in February 2011 for individuals interested in learning more about the principalship.

BEGINNING TEACHERS WORKSHOPS
2010 Beginning Teachers Workshops sponsored by MASSP and MAESP will be held in October. Dates/sites will be posted later.

FALL CONFERENCE
The 2010 MASSP/MCCTA Fall Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Columbia on October 3-4-5, 2010.

ISLLC PREPARATION
The next SSA test is April 24, 2010 and there will be a preparation session on April 17, 2010.
The next SLLA Test is June 12, 2010 and there will be a preparation session on May 22, 2010.

LEGAL ISSUES WORKSHOPS
Legal Issues Workshops are sponsored by MCSA and MASSP in November.

NEW PRINCIPALS CONFERENCE
A New Principals' Conference will be co-sponsored by the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals and the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals in July 2010. This workshop, based on the ISLLC Standards, will address a variety of issues pertinent to new principals and assistant principals with the goal of helping them launch their administrative careers on a positive note. Experienced administrators and representatives from DESE will serve as facilitators.

SPRING CONFERENCE
The MASSP Spring Conference, Principals: Leaders of Learning, will be held at The Lodge of Four Seasons at the Lake of the Ozarks on March 28-30, 2010.
