death benefit plan
The MASSP Active Member Death Benefit Plan is a fringe benefit plan to provide immediate support to a MASSP member's family. In the event of the death of a member, all registered members are notified by the Executive Director of MASSP. Members then have ten (10) days to remit the appropriate contribution to MASSP. Each member will be requested to contribute twenty dollars ($20.00). The contribution will be made payable to the beneficiary and not to MASSP. MASSP will then deliver the contribution to the beneficiary. This is a program of members helping members in a time of need. The program will benefit all active members paying full membership dues; however only those who register will be asked to contribute. Registered MASSP members will be requested to respond immediately upon notification of a death to allow checks to be delivered to the beneficiary of the MASSP member as soon as possible. MASSP is pleased to sponsor the Active Member Death Benefit Plan as an extended service to members.
