The Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) will host regional one day “Aspiring Principals Workshops” during February 2015 for individuals interested in learning more about the principalship. These workshops are co-sponsored by our MASSP districts and facilitators are practicing superintendents, principals and assistant principals from your area. A wide variety of activities include discussions on the qualities and characteristics of effective principals, in-basket activities, expectations of today’s principals, and what superintendents look for when hiring a principal.
During these workshops participants can expect to become familiar with the many dimensions of the principalship.

Through a variety of activities explore some of the challenges principals face each day.
Be informed about the new ISLLC standards and the new SLLA test.
Have the opportunity to network with experienced practicing principals and assistant principals.
Examine and affirm one’s professional talents and interests.
